About Vidare
We do the practical work, so that you can be a family.
When someone passes away there is help with the funeral. Then the family is often left alone with everything else. Vidare exists for that part.
Why we exist
We started with a simple question: who helps the family once the funeral is over?
We called around to funeral homes in Stockholm and asked exactly that. Every one gave the same answer: not us. You get a name and a number, sometimes advice to search online, and then you have to take the initiative yourself. Help existed for the parts. A lawyer could take the estate inventory, an estate agent the property, others the clearance and the sale. But the family had to hold it all together themselves, make the decisions and make sure nothing was forgotten, at a time when neither energy nor time is enough.
So we created a service that takes care of the whole estate, from the first call until the property is cleared and everything is closed. One personal contact follows the family through the entire process and makes sure every step gets done.
We always stand on the estate's side
We never buy anything from the estate ourselves. So we have no interest of our own in valuing belongings low or selling them on. Our job is to protect the estate's interests and help the family make well-founded decisions, even when relatives want different things.

It is hard to know where to begin when you do not yet know what help you need. So we always start with a call that commits you to nothing. We listen, go through the situation and explain how we can help. You get a clear, written price and a personal contact who is responsible for making sure what we agree on also gets done.

Confirmed after we have gone through your film and answers. Never an hourly rate. If something unexpected comes up we check with you before anything changes.
We never buy from the estate
Everything of value is valued openly by an independent party and goes to the estate. We represent the estate and never take sides in the family.

Prepared by us with two estate inventory officials (förrättningspersoner) with no share in the estate. For complex estates we bring in a lawyer at a separately quoted fee. Distribution of the inheritance is agreed separately.
