Vidare began with a simple observation: when someone passes away there is help with the funeral, but then the family is left alone with everything else. An entire home. Fourteen contracts that keep ticking. An estate inventory with rules nobody has had time to learn. A home that must be sold. In the middle of grief, someone in the family suddenly becomes a project manager, often the one who lives closest or the one who always arranges everything.
We have seen what that does to people. Evenings spent in phone queues instead of with each other. Siblings falling out over things nobody really cares about, because nobody sees the whole picture. Bills for an empty home, month after month, because every step has to wait for the one before it.
So we built Vidare as what we would have wanted ourselves: one single responsible contact who takes the whole, a fixed price that stays fixed, and full insight into every step. Not to replace the family, but so the family can be a family instead of a project group.
